Kala is my first homebred bitch, out of Aurum Memorabilia "Halle", who was sired by Ch Jade Mist Memorandum, ROM, "Memo". Halle was owned by Carole Hendrickson and Nancy Ager. This homebred litter was very special, as it was the last litter co-bred with Carole, who lost her battle with breast cancer on July 7, 2006. Carole (Carlyn Shelties) was a great mentor to me, and she will live on forever in my dogs. "Mahalo" means "Thank You" in Hawaiian, and it's our way of saying thanks to Carole for leaving us Kala's mother, Halle.
